Meet Madrid with a local
Madrid moves to its own rhythm — and that rhythm starts late. In a city where dinner at 10pm is normal and nightclubs fill at 3am, having a local guide isn’t just convenient, it’s essential.
Madrileños are passionate about their neighbourhoods, their food, and their local teams. Our Trovi hosts will show you the city they know and love — from the Sunday flea market to the hidden flamenco bar.
Local tips
Lunch is the main meal in Madrid — 2-4pm. A €12 menú del día includes three courses and a drink.
Metro is the fastest way to get around. Buy a 10-trip card at any station.
Madrid nightlife is legendary. Clubs don't get going until 2am. Nights often last until 8am.
The Reina Sofía museum (Guernica) and Thyssen are free on certain evenings — check the websites.
Madrid is one of Europe's safest capitals. The main risks are pickpockets in crowded areas.
